Athletics
The sports program provides another opportunity to build community and for students to challenge themselves in athletics as well as academics. Through agreement with Portland State University, physical education and after-school sports programs will be developed. Students will be encouraged to form club sports and activities if desired. IHS Portland will expand the structured team sports program as our student body grows.
If IHS Portland does not offer a sport, students are encouraged to participate with their residing public school. For example, students who wish to play soccer may try out for their local public school team until a team is formed at IHS Portland.
