Application Procedure

Students are required to complete the following steps to apply to IHS Portland:

  • Submit a completed Application Form, including:
    ✓ Parent Statement
    ✓ Student Statement
    ✓ Recommendations (School Counselor or Director, Math Teacher, English Teacher)
    ✓ Middle School Transcripts
  • Submit middle school transcripts/records
  • Take the SSAT placement exam and submit test scores
  • Participate in student and parent interviews with IHS Portland Admissions staff
  • Submit the Parents’ Financial Statement if applying for Financial Aid (For more information, visit https://sss.ets.org/pfsHome.do
  • Pay $75 application fee
