Preparing Future Leaders Through Service
Learning through service is an essential component of IHS Portland’s curriculum. The unique, four-year community service program is actively coordinated and integrated into each student’s academic life by IHS Portland faculty. The program begins with service placements in a variety of nonprofit and for-profit settings, and culminates in a year-long internship at an organization of the student’s choice. Through real-world experiences locally and abroad, IHS Portland students demonstrate confidence in their ability to contribute to their communities and their world.
